Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about ipbforumskins.com

  • What does this site offer?
IPBForumSkins is a site dedicated to making skins and templates for Invision Power Board forums. Custom skins, and premade skins are for sale.
  • How do I join IPBFS?
If you would like to join our site and forums as a member, click on the Register link at the top of the forums page.
  • Skins? What are they?
Skins for IPB are also known as templates. They improve the overall look and feel of your forum making it more unique than it would be with the Default IPB skin. For examples of my skins, have a look at the custom skins gallery, or premade skins page!
  • How do I add myself to the customer group on the forums?
If you have purchased a skin from this site, you will be automatically upgraded to customer status within 24 hours of your order.

Buying skins

  • How much do you charge for skins?
Premade skins start from $20.00 USD - while custom skins start from $350 USD. The price of custom skins will vary depending on the complexity of the skin - and how much work is involved.
  • How do I purchase a custom skin?
To purchase a custom skin, visit the custom skins request page, fill out the form, and email it to me at admin [at] ipbforumskins.com (replace [at] with @)
  • What payment methods do you accept?
All skins on this site can be purchased with a PayPal account. Premade skins can also be purchased with credit cards on the Paypal website (an account is not required). Moneybookers is also available. Contact me via PM if you need to use Moneybookers instead.
  • How long will it take before I can get the files?
Premade skins are available for download in your Client Area immediately after you have purchased the skin.
  • How long does support last for?
Lifetime support is offered for free, as long as the issue on your forum is caused by one of my skins. If modifications are required (for example colour changes or updating skins for 3rd party applications), additional fees will apply.
  • Do you offer refunds on your skins?
Since the skins are digital items and can't physically be returned, there are no refunds offered on our products. Before purchasing, please make sure you have chosen the correct skin, and make sure it is compatible with your version of IPB.

Copyright, usage and distribution

  • Can I modify the skin as much as I like after purchasing?
Yes. Once you purchase a skin, you can modify it as much as you like - however you must keep the copyright intact (unless you purchase copyright removal), and you are not allowed to redistribute the skin even if it has been heavily modified.
  • Can I remove the brand/copyright link from your skin?
If you would like to remove the "Skin designed by.." link at the bottom of your skin, you must purchase copyright removal, which is an additional $30.00 for premade skins, and $50.00 for custom skins.
  • I've already purchase a skin. Can I purchase copyright removal by itself so I can remove the branding link?
Yes. Simply goto the Shopping Cart and click the "Add Copyright Removal" button. Alternatively, you can click here.
  • Can I resell or distribute your skins to other people?
No. When buying a skin from IPBForumSkins.com, you are purchasing a non-transferable item which is not allowed to be resold or distributed under any circumstances.
  • Can I convert your skins so they work with other forum software like vBulletin or phpBB?
No. These skins have been developed by myself for use with IP.Board only.
  • How many sites can I use your skins on?
After purchasing the skin, you are able to use it on 2 forums at the same time. If you wish to use the skin on more than 2 URL's, you must purchase additional licenses.
