I'm working on a forum for a business and I need to either remove the "assistant" at the top right of the forums all together or at least remove the "new user? register" link. Anyone know how I can accomplish that? Hopefully, I can just remove the "register" link and keep the assistant.
Thank you,
Mike

I finally figured it out but I called it the wrong thing. Its the "navbar" that's a floating box over the banner.
Global Templats / GlobalTemplate:
I just deleted that but I guess the same would apply to adding something else. I have no idea why i called it an assistant, I thought i heard that somewhere.
edit:
I kind of wanted to delete the whole thing but then i realized there was no way to sign out after that.
Global Templats / GlobalTemplate:
{$this->lang->words['new_user']}
<a href="{parse url="app=core&module=global&section=register" base="public"}" title='{$this->lang->words['register']}' id='register_link'>{$this->lang->words['register']}</a>I just deleted that but I guess the same would apply to adding something else. What's the reason for removing it? There's a setting inside the admin cpanel to disable new registrations (if that is your intention). If you just remove the Register link from the top, there are still other ways of registering (there's a register link on the error page, and if the user knows the right URL, they can access it easily from the address bar).

I have registration disabled anyway and the change is really nothing more than to appease the boss. They just didn't want to see it and more or less to keep competition out (not very smart competition either).
